The Eglinton Grand

"The Eglinton Grand was amazing. To be honest, I needed a little coaxing from my now-wife to go ahead with them, because although I fell in love with the venue, I was torn between it, and another venue that had more inclusions (but not nearly as beautiful! - the other venue wasyour more typical-looking banquet hall). We had wanted something "different" from the start though, and I am sooo glad we decided on the Grand. Not only is it beautiful, and different, but the staff here is amazing. We dealt with Rebecca throughout the planning process, and then Sarah during the final steps prep, and both of them were so friendly and down-to-earth, and always available to answer the thousands of questions we had. They worked closely with us to give us the day we wanted. Our day-of coordinator, Joe, was also amazing. He went around asking us and our guests if everything was okay, and guests actually mentioned to us how great he was. The food is delicious, and we got several compliments from our guests on that as well. Overall, an exceptional venue. While you may pay a little more than your typical banquet hall, in my opinion, it's worth it for the unique wedding and wonderful people you get out of it." (more)

The Albany Club

"I hosted a private family dinner when my aunt and uncle visited from Europe and I have to say the Club blew us away! April was incredible throughout the planning process and the staff were meticulous in making sure all the details were according my specifications. I highly recommend asking for the services of the Club's Sommeliers - Gianmarco actually sabered some champagne for us and it was a delightfully unique touch! " (more)

"long text with pictures We hosted our Christmas wedding at Archeo and couldn't be happier with our experience. The restaurant itself is incredibly beautiful and needs so little decorations, as it is gorgeous on its own. The planning process was a breeze, with our coordinator Victoria helping us at every step of the way. She was sure to remind us well before upcoming deadlines and provided us with an events package that made planning so much easier. The food was AMAZING, all night long our guests told us how happy they were with the food. And then there is the staff...they were thoughtful and attentive and went over and above to make sure myself and my husband and of course all our guests were happy. We are still on cloud nine weeks later and that has so much to do with Archeo and Distillery Events." (more)

The University Club of Toronto

"Just spent a week at the University Club for a wedding and my experience was amazing. I am not from Toronto and was excited to check out a lot of breakfast spots in the city; however I found myself spending many of my mornings having breakfast in the bar. Larry (the server who works the breakfast) is an absolute class act and an amazing guy. My girlfriend has some dietary restriction and he happily went and toasted her bread she brought downstairs every morning so she could eat with us. The rooms were comfortable and accomodated exactly what was needed of them. There facilities for the wedding were beautiful and the staff were incredible, no complaints about the service whatsoever. Thank you to all the staff at the club, i'm going to miss my time there!" (more)

Markham Museum

"What An Impressive Museum! This museum represents the Historical History for the City Of Markham. I had a very detailed and impressive tour given to ME by Cathy Molly, Director of the Markham Museum. She showed me the various rooms and eventually took me outdoors to further explain the other rooms such as where they make apple cider, do wood carvings, organic gardening, pottery, etc. In Addition: I also got to meet with Shane who is a professional Wood Carver and Instructor and he gave ME a talk as well about his work on a separate Youtube Video that we made with his Grade 12 Students that were present. I want to personally Thank Cathy Molloy, Director of the Markham Museum for the time that she took out of her day to give ME a tour and show ME around as well as Shane , the Wood Carving Instructor back on Monday, July 9, 2018.
